I went for a second ride with Kristy and Tom Cottle after finishing my solo ride. Kristy had told me that she had found a fun trail around Long Lake. I was thinking this would be an easy ride that would maybe take an hour. It took two. We went all over the place finally coming out of the trail somewhere in north Minneapolis. Kristy has a dirt bike and apologized in advance for slowing me down. However, Kristy was really fast on her bike and the only reason I was able to keep up with her was because I was on a fancy road bike. Yet another reason I question if I'll be ready to do 100 miles two months from now. Kristy also has calf muscles that look like they belong on a Greek sculpture. Mine don't look like that. Maybe in two months.

The ride was really fun. We went through one part that had a bunch of bridges going over a series of ponds and a stream. Kristy almost got hit by a little boy who came flying out of a side trail. If it had been me I wouldn't have been able to unclip myself from my pedals fast enough to keep myself from falling. It was a fun ride.
